Specialist (Database)

·        Installs and configures PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MS SQL databases to provide a stable and scalable data infrastructure.

·        Monitors database performance through regular health checks and optimizations to ensure high-speed data processing and system reliability.

·        Implements robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard organizational data against loss or system failure

·        Automate routine database tasks such as monitoring and alerting using scripts (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) to increase operational efficiency and reduce manual errors.

·        Monitor database systems regularly to identify performance issues.

·        Resolves complex database-related incidents and troubleshooting requests to minimize downtime and maintain service continuity.

Work closely with application developers to resolve database-related issues

• Educational Background:
o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a 
related field.

• Experience:
o 2-4 years of experience in database administration, PostgreSQL and 
oracle.

• Technical Proficiency:
o Installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades
o Database migrations (on-prem to cloud, version upgrades)
o Backup and recovery strategies
o High availability (HA) & disaster recovery (DR)
o Query performance tuning
o Database monitoring and troubleshooting
o Auditing & activity monitoring
o Vulnerability assessment
o Proactive monitoring setup
o Alert tuning and incident response
o Log analysis
