Job Description
- Administer and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) on-premises environments, including database and application servers.
- Manage Oracle database backup and restore processes, including both automated and manual recovery activities when required.
- Perform database and application cloning for development, testing, and production support purposes.
- Monitor database and server performance to ensure high availability, stability, and system reliability.
- Manage server replication activities and support disaster recovery readiness and business continuity plans.
- Perform database performance tuning and optimization for Oracle EBS environments.
- Manage database storage, tablespaces, load balancing, and server resource utilization.
- Support Oracle EBS users and technical teams in creating reports, database views, and SQL queries as needed.
- Apply database patches, upgrades, and security best practices across all environments.
- Open and manage Oracle Service Requests (SRs) and coordinate with Oracle support for issue resolution.
Skills Description
· Technical Proficiency:
Functional level:
o Strong experience with Oracle EBS on-premises architecture and administration.
o Hands-on experience with Oracle Database Administration (11g/12c/19c).
o Strong knowledge of Oracle backup and recovery processes using RMAN.
o Experience in database and application cloning across development, testing, and production environments.
o Knowledge of server replication, disaster recovery, and high availability concepts.
o Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL scripting, including creating queries, views, and reports.
o Experience in database performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
o Familiarity with Linux/Unix server administration and shell scripting is preferred.
o Experience in applying Oracle patches, upgrades, and security best practices.
o Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
o Experience monitoring FM contracts and service level agreements (SLAs)
